hey everyone.

Just wondering... on 6/11 during Family guy I saw a TV spot for "Year One". It had a song in it that I had seen in a previous adult swim bumper. It's a song that has a guitar solo-ish sound to it. It was in an Adult Swim promo a little while back where it showed a bunch of clips from all the shows. I remember seeing a guys fingers hitting the frets on the guitar like he was playing along to the song, and the end of it has that guys eyes exploding from that Metalocalypse episode where they go under the ocean. Not sure what it's called, but does anyone have any idea what song it was? Thanks!

I don't wanna discourage anyone from looking, but we've been after that one for a looooong time.  I first recall hearing it on a promo for a new episode of "Tom Goes to the Mayor" if that tells you how long...

I'm just as interested as the next guy where it came from but it's a pretty safe bet that it's a library track. I can't remember if it was the same time frame but there were a couple of pretty convincing one-offs they had pulled for other TGttM episode promos that we never located. There's a chance it's from the same place - it's a weak clue but when you don't have strong ones you go with it  the one-offs were of Eurythmics 'Sweet Dreams' which might also be listed as a sound-alike for Annie Lennox and 'Walking on the Moon' by The Police.

Holy shit that's it!

Dammit, and there's no one who knows what the name of the song is? Aren't the people at AS pretty cool about letting the fans know about music they use in their bumps?
