I had the time of my life yesterday when I went to Logan Sqaure Auditorium to see the pillows. My cousin Christopher and I went and 3 bands played: Light Pollution, I Need Sleep, and the pillows. Light pollution was a pretty straightforward band, nothing dangerous, nothing boring, and the lead singer preferred to use a capo on his guitar and scream during his songs. I'd describe them as emo ska (cause they had 2 guitars, 1 accordion, a trumpet, a trombone, and a drum set). I Need Sleep was arguably the strangest band I've seen in my life. They screamed a lot too, but they used the strangest objects as instruments i.e. a telephone, garbage lid to play cymbals, etc. They switched instruments EVERY SONG, and one guy was playing the guitar......WITH HIS MOUTH. After they were finished, the pillows finally went on the stage, and with one look of the frontman, EVERYONE WENT SCREAMING. They played at least 20 songs more than the other two bands combined. Most of it was their FLCL stuff, but they did play songs of their new album "My Foot". During the pillows' performance, three guys near me started a mosh pit 3 TIMES IN THE SAME PLACE, and at least 10 people were carried by the audience. At the end of the concert I made my cousin buy me a 15$ shirt to compensate for ticket price (I paid for it) and people on the balcony of the venue threw panda plushes and t-shirts to promote Anime Central.
One word to describe this show: AMAZING
