No more marathon bumps?

Remember when Adult Swim used to make special bumpers whenever they aired a marathon of a show?
Lately they haven't been doing that.

The last special bumps we got for a marathon were for the Frankenhole Halloween mini marathon.  Probably because ShadowMachine made them so Williams Street didn't have to.

We had two Bleach marathons last year and a Star Wars marathon last night.  No special bumps.  Even if it was just 3 or 4 bumps that repeated the whole night it would be better than nothing.

EDIT: Okay there was four from around Thanksgiving/early December (4410-4413), but still, what's the deal AS?  Being cheap, lazy, don't care anymore?

EDIT2: I also realized they didn't have their "Have It Your Way" contest last year.  What the hell is going on down at Williams Street?

Why yes, I do miss Futurama.

Hey B.,

I was thinking the same thing last night, during the Star Wars Marathon.  As soon as I saw there were no special Star Wars Marathon bumps running, I tuned out.  I've been complaining about the absence of "No Labor Day Bumps", be it classic ones or new, for a couple of years now.  Now it seems they don't do Marathon bumps.  Surprising.  Maybe the bump dept. couldn't get the rights to Star Wars/Lucas Films?  I would have thought this would have been a great opportunity for some ACTN like bumps, using Clone Wars art.

Ugh, they seem to be cutting all special bumps. Heck, they barely had any Christmas bumps (real bumps, although thankfully Omar was quite funny) aside from the four mentioned, and no Thanksgiving bumps! Labor Day and Halloween got the axe too. I was bummed about not having a Have It Your Way contest too, usually was a nice day to tune in. I barely watch [as] anymore because of how little they care about bumps these days; heck I wouldn't be surprised to tune in on April 1st and not have a stunt (although The Room is getting a bit old).

Star Wars marathon last night.  No special bumps.

Sure would have been nice to know ahead of time.

The only thing I have to look forward to on a Saturday is The Boondocks.
It don't matter, none'a this matters.

I don't think that would be the case. Lucasfilm is actually very generous in regards to property rights. You can make as many fan films and fan edits as you like and they wouldn't care. In fact, they encourage that stuff.

I think Williams Street was just being lazy. Even if they could have just made a bunch of still images for bumps, they didn't even bother.

I would have expected at the very least sell-out bumps of 'go see the movie'

I'm with you on that one.
