Looking for an oldie bump

So for the longest time I've been trying to find a bump that has this really old sound to it.
Like...it's chipper and sounds like it belongs in the forties or fifties. I'm always in the middle
of something so I always miss what the lyrics are saying. All I can remember is that
at the end of the chorus the voices (female dominant) go "Do do do do do do - Do do do do do do DO"

I apologize for being so vague with this guys. I really never pay attention to what
the bump looks like either or else I would've probably found it or at least
would've been able to be more specific with this. I hope someone will be able
to help. I spend a good couple hours searching the forums too before deciding
to post this too.

So don't mean to bump this but no one knows anything?
No one has an inkling or an idea of what song I might
be referring to? I've searched through at least 1000 of the bumps so
far out of 3,000+. It's a tedious process that I really don't want to
continue...

Well... there are a couple of problems  :-o are you sure it's a bump and not a promo?
When you say 'oldie' are you referring to an old bump or just the sound of the music?
Follow up to that: if it's current, is it playing this week? Last week? during what show? first or second run?
If you've been through that many bumps I can't help but think you've already hit on at least one of these, but what you are describing makes me think of anything by the Adult Swim Singers

Honestly, vocals on bumps are fairly unusual... if you can answer any of these or think of something additional about the music/bump, or just tell me everything that's wrong with what I suggested we can go from there.  :-)

I should probably add that I personally haven't caught up from the holidays... and the brain isn't quite firing on all pistons just yet.  I'm just kinda rolling through some of the 'newsreel' style songs in my head and right now nothing with any vocals is coming to mind. Although the promo guys like to tack random bits of video onto the end of their promos backed with the AS Singers. I'm gonna sleep on that... meanwhile if you're looking for something old that might be a bit more complicated but like I said, ANYTHING you can add might jar someone's memory and we may still pull this off.

Awww I'm sorry. I'll try to elborate a little more.

Well, it's actually a song from a bump.
The song does use vocals but there's also an instrumental version
of it too that does show up occassionaly. The characterisitics of the
song match what I described in the first post.

As for when it plays, I really can't say. It rarely shows up anymore...
well, at least from when I watch adult swim anyways. Even when it does appear
I don't usually pay attention to what the bumo is. I might have to
do an all nighter for a couple days and see if I can't spot it during a bump.

I hope this information is a bit more helpful. :x There's really not much else I can
say other than from what I've seen in bumpworthy that it's not by the adult swim singers.

Believe it or not, that did jar me a bit... especially when I did this juuust a little too hard.

We'll see if I'm right but I can't believe I didn't think of it sooner...

They did pull this one out of mothballs for the holidays, too: http://www.bumpworthy.com/bumps/4071
It's the instrumental version, which is really just the middle of the song. They've used it a lot over the years but I first remember it from an old (2004) Valentines promo. The commercial CD is out of print but there are directions on how to listen to it in the library in the description.

That's what I was thinking too.
Fun fact: that same song was on an episode of Breaking Bad. I instantly recognized it. :D

cautsu

OMGOSH That's it!!! That's exactly what I was thinking of!!

Thank you so much you guys!! You don't know
how long I've been looking for this, even just the
instrumental!! Now I know exactly what to
look for!!

NumyMufn

Like I said, it's not really an instrumental but rather just the middle of the song... it's funny cuz it was the "sometimes it's an instrumental" part that jarred my memory

Glad we could help.
