This bump. http://www.bumpworthy.com/bumps/257

I was just going through some songs I recently downloaded and one of them had that exact same beat!
The song is called "Gettin Visions" by "Awol one & Slug" from the album Nightcaps. I found a place where you can listen to it; here: http://mp3skyline.com/rid-0x4308e-awol-one-and-slug_-_nightcaps-mp3-download.html

Maybe they just got the beat from Wildchild?

I knew I recognized the beat from a bump on adult swim and spent like 10 minutes finding it! :)

Wow, you're right. It's pitch-shifted but it's the same beat. My guess is the same as yours, that they used the Wildchild beat. Still, great find!

It's possible they sampled Wildchild, (his is older) or they both sampled the same older-than-that song. Really it's hard to keep track with the current standard practice of remixes, cross sampling and collaborations, although in this particular case I know for a fact that Williams Street licensed the Wildchild album from Stones Throw.
If you listen to the very end of "Gettin Visions" you'll hear the first bit of "Wylin Out" from Chocolate Swim.
I'm drowning in a sea of sampled music.....

Funnyy.. cuz it just so happens that that is the same beat from the song Vampires by Atmosphere. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FXODzzagzCw

Nevermind, I was thinking of the song Step by step on that same album.

Na, I made a mistake. I was thinking of the song "step by step" from the Nightcaps album. At the very end, a different beat plays for like 3 seconds; it's the beat from Vampires by Atmosphere.

Also, yeah, I'm sure they just used the beat from Wildchild. The third song from the album (Out the back window) uses the same beat from Obie Trice - Shit hits the fan.
